Because I’ve had more special experiences than anyone I know or know of with the exception of one person. I’m not talking about hearing voices or seeing things – though those can be quite real events. I mean experiences that involve other people, objects and animals, providing evidence that cannot be explained away.

Such experiences have become more dramatic as time has gone on. Initially it was lights going on and off, a book that had been tightly packed on a shelf falling off as I read a reference to it and my television going onto the same channel as the football-jersey number of a young man who had passed and who clearly connected with me after I read a book by his mother about remarkable experiences she had. More recently it has been birds doing highly unusual things – such as geese circling so low over me I heard the wind coming off their wings – which was dazzling – and objects appearing, moving and being teleported.

My very first unusual event was years ago when I had an auto accident at night whereupon my then father-in-law sat up in bed and said “Something’s happened to Hank.” I’d heard of such things but this was proof to me of mind-to-mind communication.

But this communication – I later realized – was not a signal from my mind directly to his. That’s impossible. The human brain operates on just 20 watts of power. My father-in-law was 50 miles away. No. What happened is that our minds exist in a field of awareness – a field of consciousness – and like minds communicate within it. So, the brain does not generate consciousness. And when the brain dies, consciousness goes on in the field – which is the afterlife. I’m convinced of that unless there is contrary evidence.

And I emphasize that I am hard-core fact based. I want evidence for what I believe. I had a career in broadcast and print journalism and I’m kind of a fanatic about what is true.

And one enormous truth is that across thousands of years of human history people have had experiences that are explainable only as communications from external intelligence – that is – from other minds. Science comes along and says well this can’t happen because we can’t explain this physically – can’t replicate it in the lab or develop equations for it. All of those countless events never happened. Breathtaking arrogance! Science will not explain the non-physical – consciousness – in physical terms, by physical mechanisms. It is absurd to say the inert material of the brain generates our identities and personalities – all our sensations and experiences of life. Mind from matter is a preposterous notion.

My father-in-law and I were very close friends. So our minds were entrained. When I had my accident, information from my mind flowed thru the consciousness field and to my father-in-law’s. I see no other explanation.

You may have such a story – they’re common.

I emphasize that like minds communicate within the field. That to me is the prime reality of our lives – it’s the day-to-day function of the consciousness field. We don’t think alone. Nothing occurs in isolation – physically or mentally. In our lives each day we’re constantly sending and receiving thoughts from similar minds in the field. This explains intuition, sudden bursts of insight and flashes of great creativity. Many people – including famous scientists and artists – have talked about concepts and ideas being received rather than formulated. Yes. We are part of one, great consciousness, individualized according to the capacities and configurations of our brains. But again – the brain does not create consciousness – does not create our minds – it receives them – receives our individual awareness and attributes.

And so this site will share and explore such experiences – their meaning and effects – the wonder, exhilaration, comfort and hope they give us – how we might generate more of them and how thru them and our exchanges we can enlighten one another and give fresh energy to our lives.
