The argument has gone on – intensively – for hundreds of years.
- Are we just physical stuff with an absolute end?
- Or are we spirits in temporary human form whose minds survive physical demise?
- Who’s got the best evidence?
- I say we spiritualists do.
Virtually throughout human history, countless people have had experiences that could only have bene caused by external intelligence. That is, those in the afterlife.
Huge numbers of these experiences have not just been people hearing voices or seeing images or describing crazy coincidences. No. They’ve had objects appear, move and be teleported. Or spirits have done things that left photograph proof.
Moving objects prove the afterlife is real.
A story from my own life.
For many years my late mother’s phone has been in my sister’s home. A couple of years ago she had to move, and among items she chose to discard was the phone.
She put it in a plastic trash bag, and it rang. She took it out of the bag and it rang again. Who else could have rung the phone – particularly at that moment?
Clearly the first ring meant no and the second yes.
Here’s another one. Some years ago I went out to my car to get something and dropped the key down under the seat. I had a spare so no problem.
Next morning the key was on the carpet in front of my patio door. I almost fell over when I saw it.
But the physicalists – those who say we’re just stuff – won’t accept such events as evidence. They’re “anecdote” or they could be faked – there’s no proof.
But a great many such stories come from people who have lifetimes of credibility. They’re not going to turn into liars because a loved one passed.
No. The afterlife is real. The evidence is clear, hard and undeniable.
The materialists lost the argument a long time ago.
